Breathing Places

People in Derbyshire have been transforming places for people and for wildlife. Andy Whittaker has been meeting some of the volunteers who've been helping to make our part of the world a better place for some of those who share it.

Breathing Places is a BBC project in conjunction with numerous wildlife organisations which aims to inspire communities across the UK to work together to breath fresh life into their neighbourhoods.

The National Lottery is providing money for the Breathing Places Fund which aims to help change people's environment.

BBC Derby is encouraging local organisations in Derbyshire to apply for grants ranging from £300-£10,000 to create a green haven.
