Your Stories

Are you a parent or young person fed up with the stress of constant exams? Had a life changing experience or witnessed a breaking news story? We want to hear your stories and can give you training in how to record what you want to say.

There are several different ways to get your story on the BBC - as either an audio diary, a video film/diary or as a photo essay.

Video Nation - your views and experiences on film and online. You need no special skills - we lend you the equipment (camera, tripod, microphone etc) and we'll tell you how to achieve the best results - all you have to do is point and shoot!

Photo Essays - maybe you want to tell your story as a series of photos or captured a breaking news story on your digital camera. We can use your photographs in a gallery telling your story in pictures.

Audio Diaries: Inside Lives

Inside Lives - we can help you to write and record a short story about yourself! Inside Lives are real stories by real people.

Like a written diary, audio diaries capture your thoughts and feelings about an experience. Diarists are given small voice recorders to make a piece of audio about a subject they feel passionate about.

For example, Karin Aberg and her 11-year-old daughter Lottie, had had enough of exam stress. They recorded their experience of year six SATS tests.

And Halimah Khaled campaigns for better health care for women after her experience of endometriosis. She travelled to Pakistan to try to improve things there.
