Click on the link to the right to look through our gallery. ![]() Grassmoor Country ParkGrassmoor Country Park is located four miles south-east of Chesterfield, the park is accessed from Birkin Lane and is open daily for fishing, horse-riding, cycling and walking. Whether is a summer stroll in the open meadows, a family picnic amongst the butterflies or a horse trek to take in the beautiful scenery, there is something for everyone. The site is also the start of an interesting walk called the Five Pits Trail. It takes you along all the old colliery sites in the area. The eight mile trail has many picnic sites on the way and serves as a real countryside retreat. Because of the varied habitat, the wildlife at Grassmoor is abundant and you are likely to spot all manner of species from the harmless Grass Snake with its distinct yellow neck band and round eye pupil, to Kestrels hovering overhead searching for mice and voles below. Sharley ParkSharley Park is a large open space located in Clay Cross. It is particularly popular with teenagers because it has a skateboard park so they can often be found practicing their bomb drops, power slides, 360 kick turns and 180 disco finger flips! The sheer size of Sharley Park is overwhelming, with plenty of activities to entertain the whole family. The main entrance to the park is off Market Street. Cars can drive into the centre of the park where they is ample parking space. Sharley Park is also home to Clay Cross Cricket Club, where they play regular games during the summer months. Cliffe ParkCliffe Park is a small Urban park located in Dronfield. There is a wide range of outdoor activities on offer, including a children's adventure play area, an enclosed sandpit, crazy golf, outdoor table tennis, tennis courts and a bowling green. As well as all this, there is also a floodlit all weather multi-games area, for five-a-side football and hockey. Refreshments are available all year round for the cafe area.
