The Herb Garden

The Herb Garden

The Herb Garden at Hardstoft was first opened in 1983 by the present owners. Since then it has grown to become one of the foremost herb gardens in the country.

There are four display gardens in total, the largest is a mixed herb garden which includes an established arrangement of sixteen beds.

The conservatory tea room is open daily and serves morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas.

Directions

The garden is located two miles from the M 1 motorway, follow the brown tourist signs from A 6175 and B 6014.

Opening times for 2005

15th March - 15th September inclusive.

Garden and nursery: 10.00 - 17.00 daily. Closed Tuesdays except during Easter and bank holiday weeks.

Hornscroft Park

Tea Room: 10.00 - 17.00 Wednesdays - Sunday
And Monday and Tuesday at Easter and bank holiday weeks.

Hornscroft Park

Hornscroft Park is a small park with limited facilities. At one point it would've been possible to play tennis but unfortunately the courts are in a bad state of repair so it is no longer possible to play.

The space makes for a good place to go dog walking. There is also a small play area for children.
