S předponou out- sloveso znamená: víc, větší množství té které akce. Předpona out- znamená taky - lépe. Například: to outplay, to outclass, to outperform. (předčít ve hře -"přehrát", být o třídu lepší, podat lepší výkon.)

Rada: slovesa s předponou out- často používáme, když hovoříme o úspěchu dosaženém ve sportu: Many words with the prefix ‘out’ are used to talk about sports achievements: for example outplay, outperform, outclass, outshine, outdo, and outdistance.
