Title: Tourists
A fan of outdoor pursuits Nick can be found kayaking and walking in his spare time. He works in the middle of the Lake District so rubs shoulders with plenty of tourists. Not all of them please him.
Nick says tourists should re-read the highway code on entering the Lake District. They drive too slowly and are selfish. He has a job to go to - don't they know?!
I bet the average speed is greater than urban mph - it seems a small price for these rural areas to pay esp. when an increasing amount of employment is tourist dependant. I know who would be the first to object if a thundering great dual carriage way was suggested. Part of working in the countryside as I do, as a rural vet in Yorkshire, is tolerating tourists , caravans , tractors , cyclists , milk lorries. It's a small price to pay for the advantages. As you can see its not just the outsiders that slow the traffic down Get real. Nick Watson
