Popular touring theatre company Hull Truck commissioned the original production of Gordon Steel's Like A Virgin and brought it to Cumbria way back in 1996. Now Tabs Productions have revived the play with one of the original cast members, Carole Copeland, directing. The action follows Angela and Maxine, besotted Madonna fans who dream of copying their idol's success. Moving and often very funny, the show is an emotional roller-coaster ride through hope, sex, ambition, despair, and - most of all - love. Be sure to take a spare hanky or several.
