You could have your name included on a huge public bench being built in Coventry as part of the ciy's regeneration.
The idea
| | City centre redevelopment model |
The monument is the idea of a German artist Jochen Gerz, who's working with The Phoenix Initiative to help transform a city, living in the legacy of his ancestors bombs.
The Public Bench is a dramatic bench, 45 metres long sweeping round the north edge of Millennium Place, which will be covered with plaques.
A sea of small plaques will be all over the concrete back of the bench and each will bear the names of Coventry people or visitors to the city.

The project aims to make people consider their own history.
In applying for a plaque you are invited to contribute to the future monument by considering the idea that yesterday's enimies are today's friends.
It is hoped special friendships will be commemorated through applicant's names on the bench.
