Join us on our long weekend

Here at BBC Coventry & Warwickshire we're so excited that we're finally in the midst of our Long Weekend Live which runs until 6 July.

There's lots going on locally over the four days, with the Royal Show, Godiva Festival and gigs at Warwick Castle to name just a few.

You can hear the best of the Royal Show with Liz Kershaw on the Thursday, Bob Brolly on the Friday, Malcolm Boyden on the Saturday and Wincey Willis on the Sunday.

Also over the four days, the big BBC bus will be in place at Avenue K - near the Arthur Rank Centre, main ring and the NFU Mutual marquee.

Ever fancied reading the BBC radio news? Well come onboard and have a go. We'll even give you a CD of your bulletin to take away with you.

The Godiva Festival kicks off on Friday evening, with the colourful procession winding its way from the city centre to the War Memorial Park on the Saturday lunchtime.

Look out for Colin the Woodpecker and the BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Radio Car in the procession.

Vic Minett will be live on-air from midday to 3pm to greet the procession and bring you a flavour of the festival atmosphere. If you're coming along, come and say hello, but don't forget you're not allowed to bring alcohol to the festival this year.

and of course we'll have photo galleries on this website - we'll updatethem throughout the weekend so be sure to keep coming back.
