Q: What's your name?A: Tom Cooke Q: From?A: Bedworth Q: Star Sign?A: Capricorn Q: Joined the Beeb in?A: April 2007 Q: What has your career involved so far?A: Since getting my degree in 2000 I have (in no particular order) … sorted parcels for a courier firm, worked in a complaints dept. in a BT call centre , made parts for cars in a factory, made sauces for frozen chicken dinners in a chicken factory, planted shrubs at a garden centre, data inputting insurance details , worked in several pubs and bars, and carried high street market research. I’ve also worked at various local radio stations across the midlands as a broadcast journalist. Q: What does your job involve?A: Reading, writing and preparing news bulletins, chasing breaking news, coming up with story ideas, lining up guests for programmes, bringing in stories that I’ve found Q: What do you like the most about BBC Coventry & Warwickshire?A: The staff, location and listeners Q: What's your favourite place in Coventry and Warwickshire?A: Coombe Abbey Q: Who's your favourite person?A: My girlfriend Q: What's your favourite hobby?A: Golf, football, going to the gym Q: Your favourite food?A: Piri-Piri Chicken, or a balti Q: Your favourite drink?A: Guinness Q: Favourite song?A: Everbody’s Talkin’ by Nilsson Q: Favourite film?A: Star Wars ( only the original 3 though) Q: Give us a fascinating fact about yourself:A: I went to school with the musician Pete Doherty.
