The Singing City project is a unique opportunity for you to join us and turn our city into a singing city for one performance at Coventry's biggest free festival, Godiva. BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s choir will be lead by Ilona Sekacz, a BAFTA winning composer ready to teach you how to sing and get you ready for your final performance on Sunday, 15 July 2007. The choir will be taught how to sing by Ilona, learning how to harmonise and three songs for the final performance. There will be opportunities for solo performances for those who want it. An open workshop will be held in mid April followed by rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 9 May until the final performance in the afternoon on Sunday, 15 July. Lessons will be held in BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s Open Centre in Priory Place. This is just to register interest at this stage. We will contact you with more information/confirmation nearer the time. You can apply for this opportunity online or by calling 0845 900 5 300.
