A Midsummer Night's Dream

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men’s production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dreams is coming to Coventry Cathedral although its timing would suggest it is more of a late summer evening’s reverie.

Travelling theatre production company The Lord Chamberlain’s Men bring their version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the spectacular ruins of Coventry Cathedral in August and September.

The aim of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men is to put on an authentic Bard experience by travelling the country and performing at some of the UK’s more attractive locations.

The audience can expect to be treated not only to one of Shakespeare’s finest comedies, but to general entertainment before the show with the actors mingling with the crowd, chatting and joking while still applying their make-up.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream runs at Coventry Cathedral from Wednesday, 30 August to Saturday, 2 September with performances at 7.30pm daily. There is also a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm. For more details you can call the box office on 024 7652 4524.
