Canley, Coventry. At the moment I’m mostly living in Bournemouth because of university. It takes me 10 minutes to walk to the beach, but it's summer and ironically I’m back in the Midlands until September!

Journalism student at Bournemouth University, your Coventry & Warwickshire Blast reporter and part-time barmaid.

Aspirations

To become a journalist, probably in music for a magazine or radio station.

Best Moment

Probably getting into my first choice university and realising that for the next three years I’d be living near the beach!

I’ve played the guitar since I was nine. I was tiny and I could barely hold it!

Likes

Music. I love live music. I go in for most genres but I prefer rock / indie etc. A few of my favourite bands at the moment include Idlewild, Hundred Reasons, Maximo Park, Muse and a whole host more! I like discovering new bands and will listen to anything once. I love films too, and children’s cartoons like Felix the Cat or Trapdoor. I like writing, especially gig reviews, or anything to do with the arts, which makes Blast perfect for me. Apart from that I like spending time with my family and friends going on daytrips and nights out, or nights in with my friends, a bag of Haribo and a great film. 

Dislikes

Small spaces, moths, tummy-buttons and mushy peas

More about me

I’m all about enjoying life and having fun with my friends. As I’ve already said I play the guitar, I own an electric and an acoustic. I play other people’s songs and some of my own stuff too but no-one ever gets to hear that!

Blast is all about bringing forward the best in local entertainment and putting it on a big shiny platform for everyone else to ooh and aah over! Whether it’s a local band or a play or a painting it will be my job over the summer to come and find out all about it and make sure you do too.
