There's a riot going on

Pint Shot Riot appeared on Anita Miah's show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. Find out more about the band and have a listen to the interview...

The Dirty Pretty Things gig at the Colly on the 6th of May is one of the most anticipated local gigs for quite some time. Local band Pint Shot Riot have managed to bag the support slot for the gig and they've been talking about it with BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Anita Miah.

Three of Pint Shot Riot were in a band called Avenue. But when the band began to break up around 12 months ago, the remaining members changed their name and made a fresh start.

Pint Shot Riot lineup: Rick Emerson (Lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Phil Browne (Lead guitar), Chris Connell (Drums and vocals), Liam Clark (Keys), Dave Page (Bass guitar).

In the interview with Anita, they talk about:

  • How the band was formed
  • Supporting Dirty Pretty Things and building their fanbase
  • How playing support slots to big bands is sometimes tougher than headlining
  • Standing out by using keyboards as well as guitars
  • Spreading the sound of Pint Shot Riot to the rest of the UK
  • Recording new tracks
