Oasis will be performing at the Eden Project in St Austell on Saturday 27 September 2008. Read on for the essential information. The Eden Project has played host to many great acts over the years including the Kaiser Chiefs, Pulp, Mark Ronson, Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. Now the attraction is putting on probably the biggest concert to be seen in Cornwall for many years. ![]() Oasis play Eden in September The original Brit-Pop kings Oasis will be using Cornwall as the curtain raiser for their latest sell out tour. The St Austell gig is a late addition and tickets are likely to sell out very quickly. It will be the first time that Oasis have performed live in Cornwall, but the band are no strangers to the county, having recorded tracks the famous Sawmills studios near Fowey. Tickets for this event will not be available through the usual outlets. Instead applicants will have to register online at the official Oasis website to go into a draw for the chance to purchase up to two tickets for this concert.Registration opens at midday Friday August 29 until midday Friday September 5.Click on the link below to go to the Oasis website: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites Within an hour of going on sale, more than 180,000 tickets for the original dates were snapped up by fans for the 18 shows. ![]() Oasis have sold 50 million records The band will be promoting their new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul' which is released on the 6th October, the single 'The Shock Of The Lightning' is released on 29 September, just two days after the Eden gig. Oasis last played the UK in February 2006. The Cornish gig will be filmed for global broadcast by MTV.
