Find out how you can help, and see the pictures of our latest featured pets. Pet of the week is updated regular throughout the month. BBC Radio Cornwall's Laurence Reed and his producer Victoria Gould are on a mission. The team want to re-home as many pets as possible. ![]() Our latest pet of the week Every fortnight the Lunchtime phone in on BBC Radio Cornwall will have a 'featured pet'. The programme will follow the animal's progress from the initial appeal, through the home-checks, and then the final stage, being housed with its new owners. It may be hamsters, cats, or dogs. The RSPCA Animal Centre always has many animals it needs to place in new homes. Laurence hopes that BBC Radio Cornwall listeners will be able to reduce the number of unwanted pets. Meet SprocketSprocket is a male Lurcher/Greyhound cross. He is two-years-old, neutered and friendly. Sprocket loves people and is good with dogs, cats and children. He doesn't like being left alone. The ideal family is someone who could take Sprocket with them. If your interested in Sprocket or any other animals at the Centre, please telephone on 01637 881455 or visit the website below. You can visit the animals for yourself every day except Wednesday from 11am - 4pm.
