Gillian Weyman from Padstow wrote to us to tell us about her husband Roger who recently decided to shave his head, beard and moustache after hearing about BBC Cornwalls support for the Precious Lives Appeal. The evening of Thursday 3rd April 2008 was the last time Roger Weyman would see his long locks for a while after he decided to shave it all off for charity. The event took place at the The Old Ship Hotel in Padstow supported by friends. Over £1000 has been raised to date and Gillian explained that local people have been extremely generous and really taken the appeal to heart, supporting them in their efforts. One really notable response came from the building site of 28 holiday homes under construction at St. Merryn Holiday Village where the site manager Graham took a bucket around the workers there and 2 hours later came back with £140. The would both like to thank everyone who sponsored Rogers haircut.
