Matt Pengelly as Dr Who

The BBC at the HfC

The staff from BBC Cornwall took to the stage on Saturday 20 October. Their concert at the Hall for Cornwall was in aid of the BBC Radio Cornwall Appeal. We were there to capture the action. Hear highlights and enjoy the photos.

We donned our costumes, and the make up, did the vocal warm ups and then it was time for the 'curtain up'.

The BBC Radio Cornwall Appeal Show played in front of a large and friendly crowd at the Hall for Cornwall on Saturday 20 October.

Matt Shepherd as Elvis

It was a chance to see radio presenters, reporters and web staff as you don't usually see them, singing and dancing their hearts out.

Throughout the week we will add some of the musical highlights to this page.

Concert Highlights

There was a sketch from Matt Pengelly as Dr Who, Michael Taylor swapped his radio car for roses, Matt Shepherd dug out his Elvis gear, and David White brought some Bluegrass music to the proceedings.

Along with special guests, the Wendron and Redruth Silver Band, Misty Mountain Line Dancers, and our winners from the Singing Sensations competitions, the BBC Radio Cornwall Appeal Show entertained the crowd for two hours.
