SimonPegg![]() Before going on to (deservedly) bestride the British comic film like a colossus, Simon Pegg was a humble young comic performing regular gigs on the London circuit. In 1995 he made his way to the screen with ITV comedy Six Pairs of Pants, where he met future collaborators Jessica Stevenson and Edgar Wright. Next came We Know Where You Live for Channel 5, BBC TWO's cult sketch show "Big Train" and a lead role in Arthur Mathews's "Hippies". At the same time Pegg was appearing as a regular panellist on Radio 4's "The 99p Challenge" as well as preparing, with Stevenson and Wright, to launch two series of the wonderful sitcom "Spaced" on a grateful nation. With Wright and old friend Nick Frost he has created two hit movies "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz". His other work has largely been confined to cameo roles on everything from "Black Books" and "I'm Alan Partridge" to "Doctor Who".
