DavidMitchell![]() Actor, writer and comedian David Mitchell is best known for his appearances with Robert Webb on the TV and radio, not to mention a fantastically irritating series of computer adverts that sprang up on television, print and the internet in 2006. The pair met at Cambridge University, where Mitchell was president of the Footlights Club. After success with Footlights, he and Webb wrote for programmes including Armstrong and Miller, Big Train and Dead Ringers, as well as appearing in sketch show Bruiser and the hugely successful Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look/Sound programmes for TV and radio. His solo work has included acting in short-lived sitcom Doctors and Nurses and in a BBC update of The Taming of the Shrew as well as numerous appearances as himself in programmes such as Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, QI and Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive.
