Chris Morris on The Day Today

In his time as a writer and performer Chris Morris has been sacked by radio stations for releasing helium in the news room and (falsely) announcing Michael Heseltine's death.

He become the barking host that dominated The Day Today, appeared with Peter Cook on Radio 3, outraged a nation on his Radio 1 programme Blue Jam (a show featuring dark and disturbing sketches with an ambient soundtrack, later to resurface on TV as Jam) by re-editing the Archbishop of Canterbury's speech at Diana's funeral to make him appear to attack the Royal Family, produced the first ever remixed sketch show (Jaaaam), sent the press into apoplexy with Brass Eye and broadcast a subliminal message about Michael Grade, that contained a word so vile you can only hear it after 9pm on the telly or 8am on the school bus.

All this and he's only four years older than me. The &@£%.
