CharlieHigson![]() Charlie Higson was born on 3 July 1958 in Frome, Somerset. He studied at the University of East Anglia, sang lead with the pop group The Higsons in the 1980s and became a plasterer with housemate Paul Whitehouse. The duo knew Harry Enfield socially, who invited them to write for him when he found success on Saturday Live. They continued working for him when he landed his BBC One sketch show and also contributed to Vic Reeves Big Night Out. In 1994, the team created The Fast Show and propelled themselves into the big time. Following the series' conclusion in 2000, Higson presided over a revamp of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), making a cameo appearance in every episode and wrote and starred in the 2003 Fast Show spin-off Swiss Toni, Since 2004, he's penned a string of Young Bond novels, telling tales of 007's teenage years.
