Xi'an Siyuan UniversityFirst stop was Xi'an Siyuan University, which was a private university on the outskirts of Xi'an. The staff were very hospitable and after a welcome ceremony we presented the bbcchina.com.cn site to a lecture hall full of eager students. All the pictures on this page are from this seminar.
New Oriental SchoolIt was the first time the BBC has held an event at New Oriental School. We gave an intimate talk to a select group of students and teachers. The focus of the activity was to give the students the chance to practise their spoken English by asking Alison and Finn questions about English learning, British culture and life in the UK.
Xi'an International UniversityThe team really enjoyed the visit to Xi'an International University. One of the students interviewed the team in front of an audience of English majors. The students asked excellent questions covering a variety of topics including British reality TV, the football Premiership and differences between American and British English.
