Some people think seafood should stay in the sea

Britain is surrounded by sea, I wonder why people here are not keen on eating seafood?

BBC China listener

Given that the UK is surrounded by water, it’s natural to assume that creatures from the sea are part of the staple diet.

However, it appears that this is not the case. British fishmongers seem to have far fewer varieties of seafood on offer than one would expect.

What is the explanation for this? What do people think of seafood? Helen Hu talks to the British public and finds out what they really think about seafood.

Listen to Helen's programme and then you can try the quiz to check your understanding.
