Whatever happened to the British trolleybus?   Li Chao, Qing Dao

The term ‘trolleybus’ is virtually unknown amongst young people in Britain today, but until the 1960’s they carried more passengers in London than any other form of transport.

Student Li Chao from Qingdao wants to know why the trolleybuses disappeared from British cities, and what proposals there are for new trolleybus systems in the U.K.
