Different breeds of dogs

I had a short stay in England, but I didn’t see any abandoned pet those days. Why are the British so caring to animals? Is this because they have a good law to protect animals?   Kung Yueh Hsia, Wuhan

Many people in the UK have grown up with pets in their lives, and Britain is known as a nation of animal lovers.

Is this true?

We spoke to Ian Balmer who is a dog lover and has quite a few dogs in his care.
