Lights and Colours of the Alps
Designed by Francesco Decembrini and Daniele Zanzi

“We invite you to experience an “ALPINETUM” garden," explains Francesco and Daniele. “Mirror panels reflect the rocky outcrops to give a feeling of the Dolomite mountains. In every direction flowers, rocks, and mosses typical of the Alpine landscape are used to fill the space, while some “ice pyramids” (mirrors on a diamond-like structure) add bright light and give a sense of width and perspective to the garden. All reflective surfaces will serve to symbolise the typical intense light found at high altitudes.
The intention of the garden is to pay homage to ‘borderline’ plants that are often unappreciated in the everyday garden. The plants are carefully selected for their relevance and scientific merit.”

This garden has been awarded a Bronze medal by the RHS.
