Follow Neave and her family as they get ready to celebrate St Andrew's Day by learning to pleat some tartan for the traditional kilts.

What is St Andrew's Day?

St Andrew’s Day is a festival celebrating St Andrew the patron saint of Scotland and is marked on the 30 November every year. St Andrew was one of Jesus’s disciples and represents Scottish people because he was friendly and brought people to see Jesus. St Andrew’s Day is celebrated with dances called ceilidhs, music, food, parties and festivals.

In this episode Neave and her family learn some knots at a fishery museum and head to a children’s pond to go fishing. They go on to visit a kilt maker to learn about their family tartan.
