How to make a doggy door sign
First, decide what colours and materials you'll need. The materials suggested above are for a sign that looks like Dodge, but you could try any breed of dog or character from CBeebies. If you only have blue card, you could even make a Bluey sign!
Once you have your materials, let's begin! Don’t forget to ask a grown-up to help you with the scissors!
Paint the paper plate whatever colour you want your dog to be.
Ask your grown-up to cut two ear shapes from some card. Dogs have lots of different shaped ears!
Position your ears where you want them, then glue them to the back of your plate.
Ask a grown-up to cut a circle of black card for the nose, and glue in the middle of the plate.
Next, draw eyes directly on the painted plate or ask your grown-up to cut out and stick white circles on the top half of the plate for eyes, then draw big black dots in the centre of the white circles.
Then make your sign personalised with another piece of card to write your name beneath the paper plate. Your grown-up can help you with the writing.
Stick the label beneath the dog's face.
Finally, ask your grown-up to stick some ribbon or string on the back and your doggy door sign is ready!
You can hang your doggy door sign on a bedroom door, on a wardrobe or even on the fridge!
