Who are Wet Leg?
Wet Leg is a British indie-rock band who have seen chart success with both of their albums, self-titled Wet Leg, and 2025 release Moisturiser both reaching UK number 1. Wet Leg rose to fame through a series of viral hits early in the band's career, and supported Harry Styles on his Love On Tour tour in 2023!
The band started as a duo with friends Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, but quickly grew into five piece with Josh Mobaraki on the guitar and keyboards, Ellis Durand playing the bass and Henry Holmes rocking the drums. Making up the bands core members for the Moisturiser album.
So, why are they called 'Wet Leg'? There's no clear answer! The band have given interviews suggesting that the name comes from visitors to their home of the Isle of Wight as having a 'wet leg' from stepping off the boat when they arrive. It could even be because of a random emoji combination! 💧🦵
