To make the cones...
You will need:
2 large egg whites
½ cup (4 oz/115g) sugar
3 tablespoons whole milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
⅔ cup (5 ⅓ oz/150g) all purpose flour, sifted
2 tablespoons (1oz/30g) butter,
Melted semisweet chocolate
Sprinkles
Step 1: Add egg whites, sugar, milk, vanilla and salt to a bowl, then stir in the flour and some melted butter until it’s a nice smooth batter.
Step 2:Ask an adult to help heat a small non-stick flat frying pan on a low heat.
Step 3: Pour 1 ½ tablespoons batter into the warm pan and spread into a thin even layer. Cook it until the base has set and flip it to cook the other side! You want a hard pancake! Move it around fast to get a nice round shape.
Step 4:Ask an adult to help lift the circle off the pan and QUICKLY and carefully roll from the bottom of the cone to shape it. Pull out the shape at the top to make it a wider cone. You can even lay the cone onto a clean towel and roll into a cone shape and hold, seam side down for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the cone cools and hardens.
Step 5: Once the cones have cooled, dip the top of them in some melted chocolate and cover in unicorn multi-coloured sprinkles. Set the cones on some baking paper until the chocolate hardens.
Step 6: Add the ice cream!
