| | 'The BBC's landmark series A Sense of Place looks at what your county means to you, and asks, what does the elusive Cambridgeshire accent really sound like? |
 | | | Radio Cambridgeshire's six part documentary series 'A Sense of Place' was launched in Ely Cathedral in April 2002.
The first programme, broadcast on 28th April, was called 'Accents' and went in search of a definitive county accent. In the search to find out what the Cambridgeshire accent sounds like we taped a number of guests at the launch for 'A Sense of Place'. With help from some whizzy technology we've morphed the voices into one single accent - the Cambridgeshire accent - and here it is....... Programme presenter Johnny Dee asked people what they think is an attractive accent and one lady was particularly fond of the Norfolk accent: Check out an attractive Norfolk accent!
