Codie C, Dan B, Jordan M and Ryan H all had chances as City pushed forward from the start.
City then went behind when the wind caught a goal kick and the ball looped into the net.
At the other end City had no luck when Matt W went through on goal, only to hear the half-time whistle as he was about to shoot.
The second half saw City dominate, Jamie M, Alex N and Sam B were on top of things in defence, while Ryan C and Dan B both had free kicks that went over the bar. Goalkeeper Tom J was in good form while Chris S worked hard in midfield.
The final whistle came just as City were again attacking the Royston goal.
