Perfect for walking the dog, an informal family outing or an organised school trip, Hinchingbrooke Country Park offers its visitors a network of paths to ramble along at your own pace. Along the way you can spot woodpeckers or herons, foxes and butterflies, to name but a few of the wide variety of wildlife. Battery powered wheelchairs are available, and the Visitors' Centre is open for refreshments at peak times. The new Countryside Centre can also be hired out for meetings and conferences. Events take place throughout the year for both children and adults, such as living history displays and guided walks, and if you're interested in volunteering at the site, you can join in a variety of practical tasks every Wednesday. Please call the Ranger for more details on volunteering, on 01480 451568. Hinchingbrooke Country Park is situated just 2km west of Huntingdon.
