  4. Do I have to use my real name on Flickr?
  1. 1.What is Flickr?

    image: step 1

Flickr is a place for you to share photos with friends and family, and explore the world in photos. The best way to find out more about it is to take the tour they have on their site. If you like it, you can sign up for a free account.

  2. 2.What does Flickr have to do with Yahoo?

Flickr was acquired by Yahoo! in 2005 and its now part of the broader Yahoo! network. If you have a Yahoo! account already, signing up for Flickr is a one-step process.

  3. 3.Why do I need a Yahoo ID and a Yahoo email address?

    image: step 1

The Yahoo ID is needed to ensure that each photo is linked to an individual photo sharer. You do not need to have a Yahoo email address – just un-tick the box on registration/confirmation page and add your normal email address to the ‘preferred email address’ field on the form.

  4. 4.Do I have to use my real name on Flickr?

No. You can leave the ‘real name’ field on your profile blank (on the privacy settings page) or you can set a privacy level that enables only your contacts to see your name.
