The website that loves Bristol has won in two categories at the BT media awards for the South West. | | The judges had to choose from 2,000 entries |  |  |  |
|  | Chris Kelly won the Internet Journalist of the Year award for his "Digital Future" section.
Meanwhile, the team won the technical innovation category for their live broadcasts from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and the Bristol Half-Marathon.
The BT Awards are now in their seventh year and more than 2,000 organisations and individuals entered the 2002 competition.
The website team was also highly commended in the website of the year category.
Judges said that the BBC Bristol website was only just beaten by another publication.
Manager of the site, Lisa Rowell, was delighted with the recognition the site has been given.
"It's brilliant that in two years we have managed to go from nothing to one of the best sites in the South West," she said.
The BBC Bristol site has been online for just over two years and is now confirmed as Bristol's number one website. | |
