Jimmy Cliff - Bristol Academy, Frogmore Street
One of Reggae's all-time great vocalists, still in superb voice and toting spot-on new material alongside a matchless catalogue of '70s stone classics.
Wednesday 7th July
Henry IV- Bristol Old Vic, King Street, Bristol
Adapted by Tom Stoppard and staring Ian McDiarmid and Francesca Annis, Henry IV tells of an Italian nobleman who falls from his horse during a pageant.
When he comes round, he believes he is his carnival character, the medieval German Emperor, King Henry IV.
For 20 years he lives this illusion but a plot is being hatched to shock him out of this 'madness' and into the 21st Century.

Tom's Midnight Garden - Hippodrome, St Augustine's Parade
The magic of childhood weaves its spell on stage at the Hippodrome with David Wood's adaptation of the classic tale of Tom's Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce.

Friday 9th July
Madame Galina in Ballet Star Galactica - The Tobacco Factory, North Street, Bedminster
Iestyn Edwards stars as the unlikely ballet star who has been sent by the Russian Government to make money with her masterclass.
Part late night review, part end of the pier show- this could well be the next big thing.
Victorian Theme Day - Clevedon Pier, North Somerset
Fundraising group Somerset North Action for the Pier is holding a Victorian Theme Day on the pier itself.
Traditional games will be played, there will be cake stalls and a Punch and Judy show and there are rumours a local celebrity may be locked in the stocks!
Sunday 11th July
Fahrenheit 9/11 - Watershed, Harbourside
Michael Moore's incendiary new film met with spirited pandemonium at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, due in particular to Disney’s refusal to distribute the film.
Nonetheless it went on to win the Palme d'Or, drawing a 20-minute standing ovation at its debut screening.
A chilling investigation into the four years of US President George W Bush's time at the White House, the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the Iraq war.
It runs at the Watershed from Friday 9th – Thursday 29th July.
