Bringing back the dark spirit of Goth

Centaurs carry off a woman

Miss Malice has been putting on Subspecies for 17 months now with the aim of including more 'Gothic metal' into the city's goth scene.

The night was going to be called Stigmatyr but Subspecies somehow seemed to fit the goth bill better and so a night was born.

You'll hear post punk/death rock and gothic metal music at the night

After starting off her DJing career at Splatt in Bristol circa '95, Miss Malice moved on to win slots at Dom X and Spank.

A period in the housey wilderness followed till Subspecies reared its head.

Radu from the film Subspecies
After stabbing his father, Radu in the film Subspecies licks the blood off the dagger - that's pleasant then!

"The people who come to my nights are dark souls looking for dark music. My two main dj`s are now Nomyx and Grendel, who are both great people," said Miss Malice.
