Mobile phone giant Orange has announced it will be sponsoring the event, which means expansion and additions to the main stage.

Organisers are confident that the sponsorship will make the festival, on July 20 and 21, one of the biggest and best yet.

The festival committee are now looking for volunteers to get involved behind the scenes.

They are holding their Annual General Meeting next week. They say anyone interested is welcome to go along.

People can volunteer to be part of any area of the festival or they can join the committee.

Organisers say that the army of volunteers are always put through their paces, but it is widely regarded as a fun and highly sociable experience.

If you are interested in getting involved in the festival you can attend the meeting on Tuesday May 21 at the Folk House, Park Street, Bristol.

Or for more information contact the festival office on 0117 904 2275 or email info@ashtoncourtfestival.com
