Red Ken
Fair play to the Rovers, you beat us and deserved your day at Cardiff. You also played well enough to win. Happy now ?
City till i die
Never read some much rubbish some people are simply deluded, its hilarious, do Rovers fans actually believe they have this hugely passionate fanbase? the term is used very loosely. They are hardly Celtic, Liverpool or Newcastle most of the 37k at Cardiff couldn't give monkeys about them. And what's all the rubbish about City fans wanting Johnson out? things haven't been this good at AG this millennium and that including the defeat to Rovers, we love the man, that defeat didn't bother most of us 12k loyal Reds, look at our league form since? hardly the "wobble" suggested on here by some clueless joker, it meant nothing to us but everything to them so we didn't begrudge them the win, we have our eyes on bigger things than a little day out for a meaningless trophy that we have won twice already. Thats why we are laughing now, not because we are jealous of them reaching Cardiff why would we be? we have won that trophy twice, once at Wembley and once at Cardiff its the fact they thought they had already won the trophy after beating us, very disrespectful to Donnie Rovers so how silly do they look now? This site was full of gloating Rovers "fans" after beating City now look, barely a page? proud you might be but defeated you certainly are, now they can get back to booing whatever hapless souls play for them these days (and yes you do boo). Good luck for the rest of the season, with Phillips in goal you need it.

Red Side talked of premature victory parades and special edition DVD's - not quite as premature as City booking their player's hotel in Cardiff for the final - thanks for saving our boys the bother - they had your rooms ! Most City fans wouldn't understanding the meaning of having pride for your team even when they loose. Well done Gas !!
pete gamlin
at least we made the final!& i say we will still make the play offs!
We are the city haters
So sick of City fans banging about this that & the other. Yes we were beaten on the day because of a couple of defensive mistakes & yes a lot of the fans that graced the millennium stadium won't be at our next home match, but just a few weeks ago down Ashton Gate they wanted Johnson out despite being in a good league position. Just because you're unfortunate enough to have been born on the poor side of town, doesn't give you an excuse to try & sort our football team. I suggest you get back to trying to sort out the shambles of a club that is Bristol City. You havent won promotion yet! And if you want to talk about doing things a bit prematurely then hows about booking a hotel in Cardiff before you got to the final! Well done Rovers, not been this proud to be born on the north of the divide in years!!!
Midsomer Norton GAS
Great day out, met loads of Donnie fans in town sat nite and they were all top lads and lasses wishing us best of luck, shame about the first 5 mins, 2 complete defensive balls ups, apart from them we played them out of Cardiff, I even had texts off 2 City fans saying that we were the better team and didn't deserve to lose, fair play to them for swallowing pride and admitting that the Gas played well, My blue babbers did us all proud, Lewis Haldane deserves a special shout in my eyes, never been his biggest fan but he ran his legs off in this match and you could tell how exhausted he was at the end.Well done GAS!
Scotty true red
There must now be 36,000 rovers scarves for sale!!, you have only got 4,000 fans and they must be sad!
Bruce
I haven't been that proud of the gas since we destroyed city 3 - 0 at Trumpton
shiregas
A great game, just a pity about the first five mins. UP THE GAS!!!!
Jamie Stockley
So proud of you Rovers.Showed alot of charactor to get back level after a shocking start.Lets hope Mr Craig will give us some of the proceeds of this cup run to help us get out of league 2.Gashead till i die!
Christoph LummiePie
Remind me how many trophys you get ofr being the better team on the day? I have always prefered the more traditional way of decideding a game.... who ever scores the most goals.Im sure it was a lovley day out :@>

i travelled to the millenium stadium, left lincoln at 4am and it was well worth it, bristol rovers out played doncaster in almost all of the 90 mins apart from the sloopy first ten mins. second half i thought i was watching a total differnt team, and jon the city fan, just anoughther of the city fans that are prats, cant wait for somthing to slag rovers off for, not a real football fan, most city fans are grown up about it and admit rovers played well and were unlucky, and that rovers arnt that bad , well they beat city to get to cardiff, getting there was good, made most of bristol football fans proud ( not prats like jon).

It's a long time since I've felt so proud after losing a game!

Proud to be a Gashead, hard luck lads, nice to see Olly punching the air on sky sports when they showed Lambo's goal against the reds. 5,000 more gasheads than City took, says it all really. Come on you Blues. On a serious note respect to the city fans who collected for Jamie Cooper.

I never realized how much that going 2-Nil down inside 5 minutes is a great way to settle the nerves! However, I don't necessarily recommend it for every match. Great fight-back Gas. Great Cup-run. great win over City. Great day out. Thanks for the memories.
Phil Rogers
I enjoyed the day out yesterday at Cardiff; these occasions are unfortunately so rare for us! But why couldn't we spend / enjoy a day in Cardiff watching ROVERS in a cup final without hearing pointless chanting about City?! City are doing fine right now, their fans aren't gonna be impressed / concerned in front of their TVs that Rovers equalised 2-2 against Donny! Shame about the start, but thanks to the team for a gutsy performance.

Wonderful atmosphere, great Gas performance. Congratulations to Donny who helped make the atmosphere so brilliant. Disappointed we didn't win but very proud. We should now all go to Manfield and help them to win - it's far more important. Good to see a City fan watched it on the box. His comments only serves to confirm that they are a bunch of sad losers who cannot be gracious in defeat. He could learn a lot and understand what football is about if he had more than one brain cell.
doris
well done the gas we didnt deserve 2 lose. im sooooo proud to be a gashead n always will b. also well done 2 all the gasheads on the stands. we were amazing and to all the city fan there only one team in bristol and thats the GASSSSSS!!!!!!!!
bradley
i think the gas did very well and we should of won the cup
dave
Proud of the boys, great effort. Yesterday has made me even more thankful that I was born a Gashead and not a red. You haven't won any thing yet, remember the booked hotel in Cardiff? Come on Forest. On a serious note much respect to the reds who put in for Jamie.
BRFC
We played really well, the players done us proud even though we lost, CITY you cant say we didnt play good (we beat you 1 - 0!!)Well done gas!!

The Gas outplayed Donny for most of normal time. Shame about losing two early goals but a great game nonetheless. Would have been nice to win it, but now got to concentrate on the League!Come on you blues!
Gas Mark 70
Well done gas! Apart from 10 minutes of madness by far the best side! Nice to see the red side of Bristol we all in front of their TVs watching us. Just keep in mind their is still a chance play off final at Wembley so keep focused. The red side have started their annual end of season wobble so one last push and we'll have two finals in a year and 6 point in the bag for next year when we play the pashionless side of Bristol football. Whatever the result it was a great day out watching a team to be watching a team with passion and guts!
ben
sometimes things happen which r meant to but yesterdays final shouldnt of been the case, apart from the opening minutes we but the pressure on them and deserved to win the game. all the players done there best on the day and if it wasnt for them we wouldnt of even got to the final without forgeting our massive number of fans which deserve as much thanks as the players, we showed yesterday that we got a fan base worthly of any teams n the championship or the prem and thats all good for the future wel done gas
Jon
This is what happens when you are a third rate team with thirs rate players in a third rate league. Atruely awful performance and they thoroughly deserved to lose. They have brought disgrace upon the city of Bristol. I dont know what game this lot were watching because to me it felt like a Downs league game. Maybe that's a bit generous.
biggest fan
well done to all the rovers players you done brillant to get this far and all the supporters r behind you and we wanna congradulate you all for getting this far in our eys you are all winners xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ginginho
Defensive mistakes cost us dearly - you can't concede three like that and expect to win. That said, the boys worked their socks off to get back into the game and were the better team for 85 mins of normal time. They did themselves and the fans proud. Can anyone tell me why we don't keep men on the posts when defending corners???
Red Side
I think Rovers made the mistake of thinking the hard work was over when they beat us, all the talk of victory parades and special edition DVD's all seemed a bit premature, and it seems it was their downfall. Nice to see Philips still hasn't learned to come off his line for corners which was the main reason we got rid of him. Nevermind Gasheads, if you want to see the what the trophy looks like and ask fans what it feels like to win at Wembley and Cardiff you can always come to Ashton Gate. I think the biggest cheer of the day was when Heffernan banged in the 2nd for Donnie, forever a City hero
alfie gashead
good game gas we played betta than doncaser and deserved da win after cummin back from 2-0 down but r final was against city so it dont matta nd mayb a chance of the play offs. well played gas cum on you blues!!!
dave
both teams played well rovers won on luck
Ali Burns
Driving back into Bristol all the bridges had red and white flags hanging from them with the sort of comments you would expect in childish handwriting. They may go up again but they can never match our pride. Another great day for The Gas, we have The Watney Cup so it was only fair to let them have something for their new boardroom.
Lily Bennett
What a game, the atmosphere was amazing, i have near seen so many gasheads :]both teams played well, but yeah very gutted at the final score.
Tara
I've just walked through the door having been to the Millenium and i am soooooo proud to be a gashead. They played brilliantly, they deserved to win, we had about 80% of the possesion but we were all just gutted when they scored there third goal but all i can say is i am so pround of those boys xx
kieran.m

William Parker

its 12.27am down under ,i haver just spent 135 minutes on the net,5 cups of coffee, and 2 brandies in extra time, what can i say , what a game,i would not have missed it for the word.bad luck again for the rovers and congragulations to doncaster.i wont sleep now,no its not the coffee, i am gutted.but i wont be pulling my rovers flag down for a couple of days.i suppose a play off is out of the question? come on the gas.
