All this talk about City being a big club. They aren't even the best team in Somerset at the moment as Yeovil are above them. I guess it shows what can happen when a team gets rid of squeeky Johnson!
JW
I believe this result will be Citys best result of the season. Ok, it wouldve been a nice day out, an expensive one at that. But now City can put minds back on theleague. What will the sags be saying when were two league above them? for me thats going to better than any derby victory! Come on City, lets shut those gasheads up 4 good!!
Marsho
Irene Goodnight! Up da GAS! Quality result, proud Gashead!
dan
i think although city had the better of the two games, rovers did well to pull out the victory. the robins were unfortunate and well done to rovers. I wish them all the best in the final.
miss piggy
Here in Quesada, best bit of news i heard ,now drinking champagne and eating strawberries, i will be there for the final, UP THE GAS,
Jim
Well done to the Rovers, your team clearly wanted the result more the ours and over the two legs your endeavours and efforts got you the results you truely deserved. Shame about the actions of the fans at the end - they didnt do your club any favours. City should go on and win promotion but should look at this with some ambarrassment - we were too arrogent and felt that our better status would be all that we would need and underestimated the amount of passion still in the Rovers. Good luck to you in Cardiff. Do Bristol proud!
Tony Moran
What a great night for the pirates! Trafford Grove has been very quiet since and the M32 Robins have been keeping a low profile
Kirk
I've been to a few away days supporting the Mighty Cherries and I have to say that Rovers fans grossly overestimate the quality of their team. I came back from a game which was a one all draw to snide remarks about it being a fluke when they scored on a dodgey penalty decision and we had (I think) four shots beating the keeper ut being saved by the woodwork.
Rovers fans are an embarrasment to the town when compared to City fans
Exminster Cider Edd
Fair play to Rovers for getting to the final. Very dissapointed for us Reds, but we have much bigger prize to aim for this Season. JPT will be long forgotton when we get promoted to Championship. Come on Gary and the boys !!
Frenchay Red
Very disappointing, but we were in a "no-win situation" as always in these big vs little type games. If we had won do any sags really believe we would have made such a big deal out of it? No. It's a good, but meaningless day out. The league is everything. Lose the tinpot final and you're a bit down for the journey home. Lose a play-off final and...well I'm still not over the game against Brighton!!! C'mon City this year we're gonna do it!!
Peter Caryl
Oh dear, sour grapes from "The Rocking Robins" or what ??? I've read most of the comments on here and credit to those City fans who acknowledge that Rovers were the better side over the two games. But what a sad bunch the rest are ..... and they really didn't want to go to Cardiff, did they, picking up £0.5m on the way plus the payback for the loyal fans. Then there are the comments about the increased crowd - what short memories you have .... take a look back at your own crowds, City fans, before you started doing well. Were there 11,000 for the first five home matches of the season ? I think not. And of course the league matters more doesn't it - because that's all that's left for you this season. When will City fans dump their ill-founded arrogance and unfounded superiority attitude ? It really is time that they learned that results count and we're all in the league where we deserve to be - points do count. Anyway, one last thought for all those loyal Robins who talk of what matters ...... at least Rovers have never torn up players'contracts due to going broke and having ideas far above our station. If I had the wings of a sparrow, if I had the wings of a Crowe ...... I'm sure you know the rest. Goodnight Irene .... see you in Cardiff.
Dan
Good work Rovers. Im here in Australia and got up early to listen to it on the internet. Its always good to beat city. Have a good day out in Cardiff Boys!!!
Barcelona Gas
The best thing that's happened since Espanyol beat Barcelona and that was the best thing that had happened since my daughter was born. She looks best in blue and white too!
Dave
To be honest fair play to the rovers for winning, but at the end of the day were in league one, your in league two and I know I wouldn't trade that in a million years for a place in the JPT final. Fair play though for the win but as I said there are far greater prizes I want from this season than the JPT. C'mon you reds!!
Alex
Rovers fans seem desperate to think that we’re all sat around feeling absolutely devastated. OK, the result is embarrassing and will annoy every city fan to some extent. But it really doesn’t mean quite as much to us as it does to Rovers. There was a time when it would – when the two sides enjoyed a healthy rivalry as equals. In recent years Rovers have fallen behind – it’s not arrogance to say this, it’s a fact. The effect is a drop in intensity. It’s a similar situation to that of England and Scotland. The Scots are always far more desperate to put one over England, as were Northern Ireland when they got their 1-0 win. OK, the gulf in quality between City and Rovers is nowhere near as large, but the principle is the same. Until Rovers haul themselves back out of the basement, City (fans and players) will never quite feel as up for it as the Gas. Call it arrogance, call it sour grapes, but that’s the truth – so get to work, Bristol doesn’t deserve 2 teams stuck in the doldrums…
GoBackToTrumpton
3pts on saturday and promotion will matter much more than a day out in Cardiff - did the better team win - no! did the team who wanted it more win - probably! get in the same league and then we will talk about derbies that matter but good luck against Crewe
Big Red
Congratulations to BRFC !!
I hope you go to Cardiff and win it. We know what it is like to win and lose this trophy.
Must be great for such a small club to play at the Millenium Stadium !!!!
Alex_BCFC
Gas deserved to win. City were shocking over two legs and why we started with 5 at the back in the first leg no one knows. To be fair Rovers pretty much did verything they could to win and City didn't which resulted in Rovers scraping it 1-0. I didn't want to go to Cardiff again but then again I didn't want to lose the game Tuesday so it was a cath 22 really. Good luck in Cardiff.
Lewis Sanders
What a quality night for the gas. Atmosphere was out-of-this world, especially in the bass terrace where i was. BRING ON DONCASTER i predict a 2-1 win in the final
rich
There's an old saying in football that in a one off game the lesser side always has a chance but over two legs the better side will always come out on top.- Its been proved right again.
Ragbag Rovers 1 mighty city 0 thats nil
SUPER ROVERS GO BALISTIC CITY ARE ATROCIOUS-HA HA
Adam F
Fair play to Rovers for getting the result - City just didnt perform on the night. But for the amount of 'gasheads' to now come out of the woodwork...Where are you for your league games? And you finally get a big crowd and embarrass your club by causing trouble. A lot of Rovers fans i know have been gracious in victory, but far too many taking libertys. Take a look at the league boys...
Sam Oakes
Rovers looked great! What a shame a few mindless idiots ruined the game by running onto the pitch and provoking the City fans. if thats what they're like when they win hate to see what they're like when they lose! disapointing end to the night...
James
Yes, city would probably have liked to go to Cardiff, it's a great day out. The result isn't a good one and obviously city would have wanted to win, but I really don't think anyone is that hung up about losing to Rovers in the JPT since we've got more important things to think about than one day in Wales.
Lee
Up the Gas! Having gone to both games I can honestly say that in both games Rovers fought harder and the Gas Heads sung louder. Well deserved win!! Cardiff here we come!
Basement Rovers John
I like many other gasheads have always been envious of city (it's second nature to us). For once, I actually have something to cheer about. Our first final in 17 years (even then we blew it!). I thought i would have to hang on to distant memories forever!
Nathan
Well done Gas, brilliant win! So every competetive game i've watched for Rovers against City we haven't lost! (Or conceded!)
The best thing was City were so confident of winning and for us to score a fantastic goal like that to win it had to hurt them. We can now say meaningfully....
We're the best team in Bristol!!! Bring on Donny in Cardiff and let's do Bristol proud! By the way fairplay to those City fans who have congratulated us, you do the city proud. Especially you Lewey whilst your having fun in Oz. Now one last thing... We're goin to Cardiff, we're going to Cardiff, we're going to Cardiff la la la la...!!!!
Jack Brisemer
Surly a single City fan hasnt said the words "we didnt want to win" of course we wanted to win, I just think we are not that botherd about losing, thats not the same thing. Rovers may be local, but I am not sure rivals is the correct word. Yoevil and Cheltenham are the nearest teams we have to compete with. The biggest blow is that the money Rovers will raise from going to the final will probablly gaurentee them another two or three seasons of profesional football. Better hope you find another top player for peanuts after that.
Carlisle fan Stuart
At derby with son (rovers fan )Great game . Rivalry added spice, pity had to spill over (literally )into hooliganism. Hostility should end at the final whistle. You are all Bristolians, aren't you !Your great 'town' is big enough for both teams. With the right financial backing you could be playing derby's in the Champ' even the Prem'.Get yourselves some billionaires. Come on Rovers, come on City, most of all come on UNITED 1
Dazza
Bristol City got taught a lesson by a better club! City looked like a conference side who play their football in the park!
cityfan
its nice to see nearly 12,000 at the ground where are you when the team others in the 2nd div ,you had to take aday off to beat city . just remember where you are & where city is . good luck on the day but doncaster will beat you on the day
Coxy
City fans....always the same. Worse losers than Arsenal, beaten by a better team over 2 games and if you dont get promoted, which will probably happen, we could see you in League 1 next season, swallow that!
BCFC Boy
Both games were complete rubbish. It's amusing listening to all these gasheads in ectasy, shows what a small time club they are. Gary Johnson got the tactics wrong in both legs, but we did have lots of injuries/suspensions to deal with. Still only one team in Bristol...BCFC
Moose
Let the Rovers enjoy the moment - it's been long enough! City's form suffered a big blip after the first Boro game cos their mind was on the cup. Now we are out of the JPT we can focus on the big prize - Championship football, which financially is far more lucrative than a trip to Cardiff. Still can't believe the Stockport game was called off last weekend giving the Gas a few extra days in bed - although over the two legs City were poor and the result was academic. I'm just disappointed we won't be playing in the competition again after this season!!
Anto
As a doncaster fan, i am very pleased to see Bristol Rovers through. Bristol City are a very hard team to beat and all credit to rovers for doing that. they deserve their place in the final, but i feel that the Mighty Vikings will take this 1.
gashead forever!!!!
I have to laugh, these City fans who say they don't care about losing are trying to kid themself's! The last thing any fan wants is to lose your arch rivals, you may be in a higher division, however it seems the players at your club werent up for the fight! Well done the Gas, Cardiff here we come....!!!
Connor
Bristol rovers have every right to celebrate and be happy. they played some good football and they were the better side on the day. i hope we can go higher in league 2. My dad went to see them play and he rang me up and told me the news. i was so happy. cant wait for wembley.
Andy
Well done to the gas and a quality goal to win it. Good luck to you in cardiff and if you lose have a drink and have a good day out.....!
James
To all the City fans who say they didn't want to win: Pull the other one, it's not April fools day yet, and don't bother posting anything up then either because we won't be about to read it, will all be in Cardiff watching the JPT final.
Alex
Congratulations to Rovers. They played excellent, exciting football all the way through the competition and thoroughly deserve their place in the final - such a shame that their reward is a tie against a drab league 2 side...
Gas Girl
CHAMPIONSHIP YOUR HAVING A LAUGH, of yourse you city fans wanted to win, to loose a Derby i dont believe for a second you didnt want to kick the only team in bristol in to touch. once again passion and skill prevailed the reds taking the gas on to glory
Chris Newbold (Swindon fan)
I had a feeling Rovers were going to win even though they were the underdogs, espicially when they got a good result at ashton gate
Captain Gas
13 cup finals??? you aren't going to any cup finals. There's not point pretending you didn't want to win cos you did. The Gas were far better on the night. If i were Gary Johnston I would be worrying about the next 13 games considering the team has no bottle and can't score any goals. It's lucky your not in the same league as us or that would have been 5 points dropped. Well done to Trolls and all the players, looking forward to a trip to Cardiff.
Jeddro
Seems like most City fans are not that bothered about missing out on the Final - after the derby event. City fans seemed to enjoy the Final when they deservedly beat us (Carlisle Utd) at Cardiff. Also, most of the City fans assume they are good enough for promotion and The Championship which is very debatable. I've been to 4 finals with CUFC, all were brilliant days out and we lost 3 - go enjoy it Gasheads!
DAVE
City fans please don't say this result didn't matter because it did. We out fought you and deserved to win, no doubt you will go up but don't tell us that you don't care about this result because you do. The biggest handicap you have got is your arrogance. PROUD TO BE A GASHEAD.
Dean
Just because you couldn't hear us doesn't mean you outsang us.. only once you scored was the volume really turned up. To be fair your team deserved it as they showed far more passion than our boys. Let's see if 40,000 follow Rovers to Cardiff..
sid boggle
so the giants lost ! and all we hear are excuses like we are not interested in mickey mouse cups. If that is the case why did over 30,000 people watch the 2 games. At the end of the day city are an average club the only thing they have ever achieved is going bankrupt and getting relegated four years running
jimmer the gashead
you telling me that you city boys didnt want a day out in cardiff? yeah right! If you say your players cant be bothered about playing in the first competitive derby game in five years then they are not fit to wear the shirt of a Bristol club - the truth!! If you think the game didnt matter then you have your head in the sand.
Adrian Lee
Yes the majority of city fans don't care about this game. Even though they sold their allocation of tickets for both games, even though they won several games before hand to get to the southern final, even though they were playing their biggest rivals, even though a cup final at the millenium stadium was at stake. Not saying Promotion is not on the top of citys agenda, but come on 'not bothered' about it. One word for the Sour Graped City fans 'GUTTED'!!!!!
Brother Ernie FromBarow Gurney
If we are two divisions apart next season, then the embarrassment of losing to a local Div 4 side will not matter too much. Enjoy the final Gasheads, take it fom us Cityfans, it is great to win the Mickey-Mouse, but also take it from us, not at the expense of promotion..
Gasmask
Fair play to the City fans that are acknowledging that we deserved over the two legs and who are wishing us all the best. For those of you trying to make out this was a non result and that City fans don't care are just trying to kid themselves. They certainly aren't kidding us!
Ozzie Cityfan
It's always nice to have good cup runs, but now they're over we can concentrate on the main business of Promotion. Everyone knows we deserve it. As for the Gas, the only League Derby they've got a chance of playing is against Exeter (or Forest Green). THERE'S ONLY ONE TEAM IN BRISTOL - ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL !
ryan peacock and joe gifford
I think that bristol rovers deserved the win and to go to cardiff this is because city played alful in the leg at memorial game and rovers deserve everything and i am going cardiff up the gas
Chris Bessex
Rovers do seem to be more passionate but then anger and bitterness are strong emotions. I was disapointed to lose out on the occation and the windfall of going to Cardiff, and its never good to lose to Rovers, but all the attempts to grind this defeat in to City fans is falling on deaf ears as on the whole we are more worried about whats going on above us. Thats said I wouldnt begrudge the Gas a win in Cardiff, I wonder how many Blues fans want to see City go up for good of Bristol?
Swindlered
The best team won over two legs but the league tables don't lie and thats how all teams are judged. Enjoy your moment of glory, you've had even less than us to cheer in recent years!
Noel West
Im proper rumbled we loozies
to them gas. We were once in the top division for 1 season and have an automatic right to win loads. We getz 10 fousan a week in all. were massive
Craig
We paid the price for not making the most of the first leg. Going to their place was always going to be hard going as Trollope has got things right, it seems. I'd have rather we won, but IF we get promotion to the Championship this season, then I'll happily accept this one. Fair play to the Gas though, I don't begrudge them it. It's just a shame that a few idiots had to put a shadow on things, after the final whistle, with the pitch invasion and the violence outside the ground.
Rob Arnold
I think what the Rovers fans seem to forget is that the majority of City fans do not care. This is much like last year when City beat Rovers in a friendly 1-0 last year, Rovers fans were quick to brush this defeat off as a non-result, as much as City fans will this one. The main thing to City fans is promotion, it certainly is for me. If this match were a league match, or an FA Cup match then I would certainly be bothered. Alas, I'd rather worry about Northampton town this Saturday that be worried about this result. I feel that the City players didn't want to win this game, the game at Ashton Gate proves this for me. I feel Rovers fans need to remember Doncaster will be a harder challenge and will want to win much more than we did. Good luck to the Rovers anyway, they will certainly need it.
Red Side
Hands up City fans who slept well on Tues night 1, 2,3... well actually it was all of us we were never really up for this, its secondary thats why we rested players.
Whether gas choose to accept it or not, in our eyes the rivalry doesnt mean that much since we relegated them to Div 4, we have bigger fish to fry these days and only care about one thing PROMOTION.
I hope they enjoy Cardiff as the last 6 years have been miserable for them, we are still the best in Bristol, league tables dont lie. UP THE REDS!!
Weeksie
Fair play to the gas on reaching the final of the jpt. For a small club with small ambitions this has really made they're season. City now have no more distractions & can concentrate on promotion, anything else but championship football next season at Ashton Gate will seem a failure. Come on you REDS!
Mike Walker (Odham Gasman)
I'm an adopted Gas Head having moved from Birmingham and previously Manchester. I have been to derby games in both of these cities and nothing compared to the passion and atmosphere that I witnessed at the Mem on Tuesday night. This was my first Bristol derby and I now know what it means to Bristolians to win this fixture. I will be in Cardiff shouting for the Gas.
easton gas
Lord Lambert sinking the robins was the finest sight ive ever seen. The noise from the massed gasheads was immense, city bottled it and ever player in blue and white played their hearts out.
OH WE'RE THE GAS!
Dale Jacobs
What a night, best night since the birth of my daughter!!! Rovers had more passion on the night and deserved to progress. City fans overall, too cocky for their on good, when will they learn ?? It's a shame we don't have the opportunity for more occasions like this. Rovers need to get out of division 2 !
Cutthroat Dribbler
I confidently predict a late run to the play-offs and a second victory at the Millenium to take us to League One. City miss automatic promotion and lose in their play-offs as they always do - you knows it '82! We'll be playing in, and winning Bristol derbies again next year! Up the Gas!
Corsham Gas
Spirits still here Justin. Just like when you put the first goal in our 4-0 win at Twerton.First live televised Bristol derby.Remember that..they bottled then and bottled it again last night
Gas-ead
Oh silly me yes I forgot you are getting promoted AGAIN! Have your club already wasted their money on the 'winners' t-shirts AGAIN? Ha! Ha!
Andy George
I have touched a tiger and done a skydive, but nothing compared to the prospect o facing a two legged Bristol Derby, how gutted was I to then see City slump to some really poor performances, what is wrong with you City, promotion will not happen with play like that.
Horfield Gas
City fans - where was your support? Your team needed you and you barely sung all nite!
Steve Phillips had the last laugh
Well done Rovers listening to the arrogant City fans after the 0-0 in the first leg and the comments about Steve P, I just had to be Rovers going to Cardiff
Donny Fan
As a doncaster fan I know which set of fans we would of rather faced. City, the Rovers fans are alot more passionate.
Blue Heaven
For the city fans who call us one shot - Its the ones that go in that count - but as city were no shots they'll never win - hope they stay in their division so as we can beat 'em again next season - TWICE
Nicko
What a win for the Gas! We deserved it over the two legs with City 82 offering next to nothing. Of course we still need to make it in the League but no one can take away our right to declare ourselves CHAMPS OF BRISTOL! "We're all going to Cardiff!"
KINGSWOOD GAS
Do you think if city 82 would have beaten the GAS they would be saying today, it`s a mickey mouse trophy or going on about league tables??? I dont think so. They just can not take it, If we had another game next week they still would`nt score!!

Travelled with my lad from Nottingham to see the game. Brilliant. 99% of fans brilliant - shame about the idiots who turned a brilliant celebration into something that was on the verge of being quite ugly. Some gasheads should get a grip.

1 cup final for the gas, 13 coming up for City, will it be the first time ever that there are 2 full divisions between the clubs ? Nach any views ?
Cityboys
No mater what the gas say they'll be away to accrington stanley next year and, with a bit of luck, we'll be a t home to West Ham I know what I'd perfer
Gary Gas
Bloomin great victory for the gas, fantastic fans, but the stewards failed at the end...gutted though, I'm on holiday in Edinburgh on April 1st, daughter is gutted also.... ANY IDEAS ANYONE!
cideread
Gas-ead; no not upset a little dissapointed that people think the season comes down to this. Once again promotion is all that counts, no matter what division you're in, maybe the rovers don't want promotion or just lack ambition in general if you are happy to go and watch basement football every week then you support the right club. If we win on sat then that's 9 points from the games around the JPT game fair trade as far as I'm concerned. Up the City.
Musmann2000
I was in the Bass stand for the 2nd leg & couldn't have been prouder of the team. Heart, passion & commitment was the difference in the 2 teams. Come on you GAS!!!!!
Justin Channing
Well done all you Gasheads. Great to see the spirit's still there. Come on you blues!
Martin Slade
I've been saying for weeks that Rovers have benefitted one thing from playing in league two- how to stop teams playing. That's what Rovers did tonight and we did it so well. But I think that Rovers' quality surprised City at times too. Come on you blues!

Sags make me laugh, they win one game, and then think they are the biggest club in Bristol, Ha Ha, with average gates of 5000, dont make me laugh. Have to say I willcheer on the Rovers on April 1st........ Doncaster Rovers !!! City Till I die !!

They have one cup final to go to we have 13 coming up, KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYING HIGH P.s Prehaps they were generally Ill, not everyone in that department blags it !

Well done Rovers, we were outbattled in all departments. I think i'm gonna change to the blue side - especially as you'll have a better ground than us in a couple of years. Plus, there's far too much trouble down the Gate.
Mr Popodopolopus (not my real name)
I'm a City fan, and cna only say well done to Rovers, you deserved it. Good luckl in Cardiff, but it could be a mini blessing in disguise for City, as promotion is the aim. Go on City!
dj eddy
it is embarrasing loosing to the 4th rated team in the south west after Cheltenham and Yeovil, but never mind the micky mouse cup will not go a miss for city championship here we come ha ha!!!
True Red
Gas heads thinking they are a bigger club? The attendence figures on a saturday speak for themselves!
CIDER 07
Ok, so Rovers were the better team over the two legs. Yes we deserved to lose. If league positions were determined on passion loyality and fair play then Rovers would be in the Prem. But no, money and arrogance is still the way forward. Come on the City.
Gas-ead
Anyone else think cideread is a tad upset? I think one city fan has a very short memory (the term 'fickle fan' springs to mind - you only have to look at the attendances when City are on a losing streak!) Well done GAS! A thoroughly deserved win - a clean sheet all the way through - I cant wait for the final!

all the city fans can say whatever they want!!! but there is one thing you cannot change and thats Rovers proving your not all your hyping up to be!!! AND us leaving you with your head bowed down last night!!! oh classic well done rovers your the best in bristol!! no one can argue that now and the passion is top class compared to the city slickers!!! BRFC
Robins all the way
Well done Rovers, a well deserved win. I must say the reaction of some of the fans after the game was horrendous, being in the away end with kids that have never experienced a true Bristol derby being hit by bottles is a poor state of affairs. Banter yes, violence no. For those thugs who call themselves football fans, shame on you.
sarah
This game was important to you lot. Your disgusting behaviour after the game, ruining the pitch and so forth has forced the annual rugby varsity to be cancelled. What an absolute let down. From the view of a SPORTS fan, the victory is meaningless, it has been overshadowed by the actions of cowards.

one game doesn't make a season, league tables don't lie so all these gloating gas should check them, and remember where they are. Lots of new ones from the usual 5000 that turn up to the minimal on a sat. Three points on sat is still more important to us, everyone knows that, still having said that well done and best of luck you ain't won it yet.

The City fans have always been telling us "there's only one team in Bristol". Well it looks like they were right all along... theyre called BRISTOL ROVERS!!! As a lecturer, I'm in danger of being disciplined for willfully neglecting my duties - I can hardly speak after last night's brilliant result. I may lose my job ... but it was worth it. WELL DONE GAS!
Dom
great result for rovers! have endured so many seasons of mediocrity and failure recently but this is a great feeling!!!
jason mills
UP THE GAS!!
MisterX
The look on the City fans faces and the anger vented when us Gas fans all started singing "We're all going to Cardiff!" at the end of the game - priceless. LOL And the Citeh fan who decided to take on the police horse and got head butted and floored by said horse, what a muppet! :-)
Teague
Well done Gas we are the best team in Bristol U Guys deserve it roll on April 1st
Bispy
Happy days, living in Dublin so was listening in on Radio Bristol last night. Great result and will be booking flights for Cardiff.
Alisa
A fantastic night with great football and the support from the gasheads was brilliant. City never really looked like scoring with Steve Phillips playing a blinder! They may be the team from a higher division, with more expensive players and an awful lot of talk, but over two legs we outclassed, outplayed and out sang them!! With the support we'll take to Cardiff it's got to be a blue and white victory.
Gas Girl
Fantastic Game The Gas played a real stormer.
shame the fans invaded the pitch tho
Mark L
City players lacked passion, they really did not care about their club or the fans. Well done rovers!
Woody
Great result Gas, whatever City say about the JPT, they are hurting big time today. Our support was awesome.

robert davey
apart from the first 5 minutes, and a couple of odd occasions after, city never looked liked scoring. there was only one team in this tie. rovers thouroghly deserved there win and showed with the right backing we could also be fighting for a place in the championship.
GMan
What a fantastic night at The Mem. Rovers got it right tactically again and roared on by the gasheads they always looked like winning
alfie
rovers were the best team for 80 minutes
Rob Harper
So we have it, The battle of Bristol has been won. Not only did we beat our rivals over two legs, we have secured a day out in Cardiff. During the second leg the fans were brilliant, the players were brilliant... Everything was just - brilliant! A proud day in the history of Bristol Rovers Football Club.
Tom Byfield
City were useless, the mem was rocking & were on our way to Cardiff!
Gastro Gnome
Great and deserved win for the Gas. Thought it wasa pathetic that Gary Johnson hid from the media until after Radio Bristol coveredge had finished.
Bob Steadman
Great atmosphere - never been prouder of being a Rovers supporter. Rovers played better football, had more urgency and more committment. Now, if they can do that in the league....
happy gashead
Ricky lambert £200000 well spent get in there well done the gas
Tim
City werent up to scratch tonight. Fair play to rovers.
GASATTACK
Great effort from the lads, same old bitter city! So proud to be a GASHEAD tonight.
Steve K
Not wanting to gloat but....ok I DO want to gloat. It's a very simple equation: 90 + 90 + Gas - 1982 + Ricky Lambert + 1 = Gas are the best team in Bristol! There, that's not difficult to understand is it?
COME ON THE GAS!!!!
Once again the gas prove that you dont need a big squad with costly foreigners to reach the final of a cup competition, i hope jose (mourinho) was watching! See you in Cardiff
