First car: a purple Mini 1000

First record bought: Rubber Soul – The Beatles

First kiss: Patricia Luard or Susan Whicher but not sure whether I managed a kiss with either to be truthful – the memory fades.

My Favourite Things

Food: New York Cheesecake

Drink: Black Sheep or a good red wine

Place in the world: Cape Town

Place in West Yorkshire: Saltaire

TV show: Dr Who

Thing in your Wardrobe: too scary to go in the wardrobe

Possession: a big black chair – how sad!

Heroes (fave people): Paul Merton, Desmond Tutu and Meg Ryan!

Zeroes (least fave people): that would be too revealing!

Hobbies/Interests: occasional cricket but lots of red wine tasting.

Best Radio Moment: covering the South African elections for BBC World Service

And finally...
