Richard Desmond faces a grilling from MPs if his £100m bid for Channel Five is successful, according to the Guardian. The owner of Express Newspapers is expected to be named today as the preferred bidder. The deal is unlikely to be blocked by regulators.

Keith Chegwin is under fire from comedians who claim he's using their jokes on his Twitter feed. says the Daily Mail. The BBC Magazine looks at whether you can copyright a joke.
