It's been one hell of a weekend - as you can see in this little photo gallery...
Friday night at the Union Chapel and as part of Mencap's little noise sessions we had some brilliant bands playing and one surprise support act.... The Chapel is vast and stunning and lit by candles and when the bands start playing is a slice of heaven on Earth....Friday night's line up was the Courteeners, We Are Scientists and Biffy Clyro plus a shy retiring pair of nervous newcomers - Bono and the Edge....
Foo Fighters excitement!

You probably heard Jo chatting about the v exciting news that Radio 1's presenting the Foo Fighters live at Wembley Stadium next summer! Which is ace as to be honest any excuse to see the Foos live is a good thing. I was at the last night of their tour at London's O2 Arena last night - so so good! I know loads of you have seen Dave & co on this tour already but loved the acoustic break-out stage in the middle of the arena. How good was My Hero done like that? Massive crowd sing-along - and I think I've damaged my throat from screaming that middle bit in Monkeywrench too much... Really gd to see Taylor do his track Cold Day in the Sun aswell as I really like that one - and was impressed with the metal-guitar-styling used on Stacked Actors - Mr Grohl was certainly going for it...likin' the everlong hair at the moment too (see what I did there... sorry...) - roll on Sat 7th June at Wembley!

How did it go? Well I thought it was quite funny... we were quite nervous as we hadn't had enough time to get a band together and there's a lot of funky beats in there.

Phew….we've just been Booshed and are feeling rather flushed and dishevelled as a result….see the photos here
Noel and Julian aka Vince Noir and Howard Moon turned up around 10.30 for soundcheck - Julian was sat strumming like a medieval minstrel while Noel paced up and down like an anxious rockstar about to make his debut at Wembley…except it was bigger than that it was the return of the Live Lounge to its rightful place here at Radio 1 HQ

Just come off air after our Kylie show. Status….exhausted but exhilarated! Sounds silly saying exhausted but that's down to the nervous energy. As much as you might try to tell yourself that there's nothing to worry about and she's just another person….blah blah. The reality is that she's actually exceedingly famous and is bloomin' KYLIE. And at the end of the day - you want it to be a great experience for her and a great listen for everyone concerned.
I got to touch Brad Pitt! Almost...

Am just about coming down still from meeting Brad and Ange at the UK premiere of Beowulf. Both stunning in real life - it's not just movie magic - pah... Angelina was shorter than I'd imagined, not exactly lardy and perhaps a teensy bit intimidating, but very polite and happy chatting about the movie. And those are some cheekbones she's got aswell. Brad, less chatty - in fact all I got from him was three words... "I'm off tonight". Brilliant. Still fit though.

Friends I've not heard from in decades have contacted me declaring their love for the pop princess that is Kylie - Chris Moyles wants me to put himself forwards as perfect husband material and Comedy Dave wants her to sponsor his bum wax later today…

Leona was in on Wednesday and she was, as expected a real sweetheart to talk to and her voice - as expected was phenomenal. She'd brought in a whole host of musicians and a bit of a choir which stretched us to our limits so she had to switch studios to fit everyone in…
