Will the Take That reunion survive?
Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have held their first joint interview in 15 years. Is their friendship "back for good"?
The two song-writers fell out years ago and Robbie left the band, Take That. Both continued their careers separately. However, they reunited in Los Angeles 18 months ago.
Theirs is not the first artistic friendship to be rocky. Simon and Garfunkel broke up in 1970 and then reunited for their Central Park gig in 1981. Members of the band Led Zeppelin went their separate ways but reunited in 2008.
Why do artists fall out? Have you fallen out with a friend or has your friendship survived turbulence? Have you fallen out with a friend and made up years later?
Thank you for your comments. This debate is now closed.

I for one am happy they are back together, and yes I think it will last. The whole falling out all those years ago was due to the egos of rich young men, now they have all grown up and will be rolling in cash whether they got back together or not, therefore there is not the same level of pressure. It'll be good to see how the music has grown and to hear what they come up with. I actually like most kinds of music not just because of who is singing it but because I enjoy it. Half the stuff in the charts these days is pointless noise so something with a tune and no violent undertone would be great

If you remember, the Take That reunion a few years ago openly invited Robbie to join the band again, but due to the impending release of a new album, his answer was plain and simple. Having released 2 albums since then, with no singles reaching anywhere near the top spot, what else is left for a man who's own career is pretty much over and done with? One final push to be popular again. And my guess is, it won't last long at all.

- David and Nick are soooooo cool that they are actually creating a microclimate around themselves, making us, quite literally, and in a way Tony Blair could only ever have dreamt of, Cool Britannia

Well I'm not sure. Dave and Nick ARE cool names and they do role their shirt sleeves up like Don Johnson did. But it's not really cool - just rainy, so I don't think it's that.
And as for the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse, I don't think he would have a daughter called Florence. So I'm not sure about that either.
Paul The Octopus reckons it's number 1, so I'll go with that.
Paul The Octopus also reckons that Take That will have a number one album, but not a number 1 single. Controversial or what?

You're so keen on outsourcing after all. On the same note, why not just copy other broadcasters' weather forecasts? They couldn't be any worse than yours, and they'd be free!

Seriously, HYS is having a laugh now.
The BBC is in serious trouble. There are huge questions over its size and cost, and the increasingly crap quality of its output. HYS seems to be doing everything it can to provide the BBC's critics with ammunition.
There's so much going on in the world - the news site mentions, in no particular order, the German HIV case, the shooting of the Spanish troops in Afghanistan, Sarkozy's policy towards the Rom.....
Most importantly, as a final parting shot, Labour's failed immigration policy means that last year saw record net immigration.
Come on BBC - let's talk about that. You explain where we're going to accommodate the record numbers of immigrants YOU wanted in the country. YOU explain where the housing should go, and why we should wreck our environment for it....
But hey, no, let's talk about Take That.
=======================================================================
Well said Bloke . The Immigration figures are out Today - we should be debating them instead of Take that. Figures showed 567,000 immigrants/arrivals came to Britain last year . No wonder the Government doesn't want that debated.//
Actually, I'm sure the government does want to see it being debated.
It's the BBC that doesn't. I've noticed that in all the discussion about the 'need' for more housing, the BBC, like the last government, is lying by omission.
The basic BBC lie is to avoid admitting that providing extra housing is a threat to the enviroment. Also, because the housing will also generate the need for additional infrastructure, it's also a considerable cost.
Then, the BBC adds to that lie by allowing its journalists and interviewees to discuss the 'need' for extra housing by refusing any mention of the link between immigration and population growth, population growth and housing need.
During the last election, I heard the Greens in particular allowed to say get away with the lie that population growth was neither an environmental issue nor related to immigration.
But hey, let's pave the country over, and talk about Take That.

You too have the right, and I am not going to critisise that, however person attach is a very small and childish thing. If you have an opinion on the subject that we are debating then voice it but don't use it to attach someone you know nothing about!

You really are plumbing the depths of idiot questions today. Is this the same BBC that does quite good news analysis when most people are either in bed, working, or watching the tele? Or is this the BBC that can only cover publicity blurbs fed to it by viral sites on Twitter? I cannot work out which is which lately.

To those who said they have not contributed anything significant, I would say you are wrong. They may not be huge in the US but they are over here with huge legion of loyal fans! They open the doors for bands similar to them to make in the music industry where they had been struggling before and they certainly were not typical manufactured group. For me, they have brought out some of the best music in the last couple of decades, but then some may disagree but that is just dependent on your taste in music!
