The Great Running Drinking Challenge

Howdy Blog Fans.
So it's about 2 o'clock on Friday lunchtime, I'm at home and ready to enjoy my weekend. However, a chance meeting, which I suppose wasn't that 'chance' really as we both work in the same building, with Scott Mills and a new challenge has been set.
In last week's blog I said that I wanted to run 5 miles before my weekend of drink and cake. I managed 4 miles before I had to stop as the heat in the conservatory where I run was intense. I gave it 20 minutes and then got back on my horrible machine and ran a further 2 miles. So 6 miles done and I got an eased conscience for when I ended up having a couple of drinks later.
Good Times.
I bumped into Scott Mills today, as he is on 1 till 4 today because of the Ibiza weekend. We had a chat and realised that we were both free tonight so arranged to meet up later for a few jars. Now normally when you arrange to meet up with Scott you don't get your hopes up because he often blows you out at the last second, but I think we'll meet up later. We also chatted about training as we're both trying to be a bit fitter. And so the challenge was set, strangely by myself.
Go home and run 6 miles again, then head out for a well earned drink with Scott.
Bad Times.
So as soon as I've finished writing this, it's a quick change of clothes into my flattering running gear, and I'm away. A nice bit of training before a well deserved evening of drink.
So if Scott blows me out, there will be some serious trouble.
As for the rest of the weekend, I have no plans and that's just how I like it. The only thing I know I'm doing is catching up on sleep, which may sound boring to you, but trust me, it's heaven to me!
Have a good weekend y'all.
Chris
PS For legal reasons drink is bad and running is good. However one is way more fun and enjoyable than the other. You decide.
