Is Saturday's all-French affair a sign of things to come?
If 2009 was Ireland's annus mirabilis, 2010 undoubtedly belongs to France so far.
After their Six Nations Grand Chelem (Slam), a good chunk of Les Bleus' squad are now hoping to be crowned European champions at club level when Toulouse and Biarritz contest Saturday's Heineken Cup final in Paris.
It is the third all-French final in the tournament's 15-year history and Toulouse have won both the previous Gallic duels - against Perpignan at a muted Lansdowne Road in 2003 and an extra-time slog against Stade Francais at Murrayfield in 2005.
But while a full-to-bursting Stade de France will crackle and roar with two passionate sets of supporters from the country's rugby heartland on Saturday evening, rumblings of discontent are already being heard from across the Channel.
