the big one..
Hey there, it's tuesday dinnertime, which feels like lunchtime because I'm doing early breakfast and that makes your day go upsidedown. I had a lovely weekend... I headed up to Creamfields with J-mo on Saturday on the train... and got there 20 mins before my set in the Chibuku shake Shake tent. I went on at 5.30pm.. the sound seemed low but there was a decent crowd thanks to DJ Touche and I felt good until....
about 20 minutes in I did one of the words mixes I've ever done. Irretrievably awful. There was no turning back. In this situation, one has 2 choices. Crouch down behind the decks with your hand over your ears and have a private moment of despair, or stand and take a bow. I chose the latter, had a laugh and kept going. Having J-Mo pissing herself laughing behind me helped. After another 20 minutes I got my mojo back (ie my hands stopped shaking) and the last hour was good. Thanks to everyone who came down, the crowd, as always at Creamfields, was fantastic.
After my set I had to head over the the hospitality area to be a guest on this Channel five TV programme called Fifth Gear. There's this new car out with an inbuilt soundsystem and DJ booth in it and they wanted me to do a soundclash with the presenter. It was quite painful..Erol Alkan got asked to do it aswell but as soon as he saw us he legged it. I don't blame him! Afterwards J-Mo and I were wondering what kind of person would actually drive a bright yellow car with an inbuilt DJ booth and decks in it? An absolute plonker methinks....

Sunday was the day of the launch. I'm sorry I wasn't able to give out the details on this blog but I couldn't have guaranteed people entry and didn't want to have people turned away. It took place at the Brockwell Lido in Brixton. There was a cocktail bar and a barbeque and a dancefloor and it was loads of fun. I DJed for a bit, playing tracks off the album mixed up with other stuff and then we all headed back to Rachel's house for a party,...

Hey Annie, I remembered your error in the set at Creamfields, was a blinder though! I was the one who stood at the front and blew a kiss near the end of your set. It's lucky though, only remember yours and Steve Angello's sets! Hope your weekeend was good though!

A few of my mates went over to creamfields and had a brilliant weekend which just makes me wish I'd gone with them.I'm going to Jersey Live this coming weekend (I live over here). Got Erol Alkan, James Lavelle, Riton and Ivan Smagghe playing the dance tent, can't wait!
I also see you and Erol are playing at Cardiff uni at the end of September which is brilliant because I listen every week and have never got to see you dj live BUT I start at Cardiff uni on Sept 21st and shall most certainly be there in all my silly dancing glory. To top that off Dj Yoda is playing there on the 14th October for my 21st. I will definately be partying for that one.

We were the ones who requested royksopp and i was the guy in thee redy pink pasley shirt shoouting i love you when you finished. J-mo took a photo of me and my mates and if you could find it and be able to send it to me that would be the best momento from the weekend... I was in the Chibuka arena aswell on Saturday to hear the end of your set so i missed your little mistake. What i heard though was a top quality set and certainly one of the best i heard on Sat.
Me and my mate were in the hospitality tent when some mad women asks if we wanna be on ch5 with Annie Mac! lol. So we headed round to the wee Aygo car thingy, but not much was happening, just you at the back of the car with the big presenter guy so we buggered off. See what you missed, you coulda been on telly with me, that would of been something to tell the grandkids, hehe, just messing with ya.

Anyway just thought I'd say Justin Robertson at Isle of wight was ace, played a wicked set and had me dancing into the night. I also met a lovely lady from Bristol which made it all that more exciting. Where are you gonna be after you finish your thursday night slots? Anywhere on the radio? Please say we can get a piece of the Mac somewhere on the worlds greatest radio staion!

Did u manage to listen to my cd, i wonder?? I passed it on to the blonde girl behind you (could of been J-Mo) and you were asking where it came from?? renember? anyway, hope you like it... keep the tunes pumpin and i'll carry on listening!!
