FRESH MUSIC..

  • Annie Mac
  • 4 Aug 06, 10:41 AM

Just listening back to last night's show... LOVED doing it. With a show like that, it could have been 6 hours long and we still wouldn't have had enough time to play everything we wanted. We also had our first power cut during Erol alkan's remix of Franz Ferdinand's Do You Want To. it was all very exciting..

Hope you enjoyed it .

Because we had two theme shows in a row next week is all about new new music. stuff I'm excited about for the future like Cansei Der Se Sexy (listen to them HERE), Junior Boys ( a new band on domino), Does It Offend You Yeah, Para One, Luke Vibert's Kerrier District 2 album which is very classy and very fun dance music, produced to perfection.

Let me know what producers and bands that you're excited about at the moment..Is there anyone you think I should be representing in the show next week?

    Alright Annie.

I'm really excited about the french label Edbanger at the moment, in particular, Uffie - 'Pop the glock' & 'Ready to Uff' and Busy P's - 'Whats your name again?'

I'm also really feeling a Hip-Hop artist by the name of Edan particularly 'Rock & Roll' and 'Funky drummer'.

I've been thinking also that it'd be great if you did like a live talk show with some music (perhaps called 'Last night a DJ saved my life') where you would get DJ's into the studio to talk about how they got into it and what their musical inffluences were growing up. How they learned how to DJ and what tips they would give to any aspiring DJ's.

There are tens of thousands of bedroom DJ's across the land who would absoultely love to hear what these people would have to say.

Would be great if you could get my favourite DJ, Erol Alkan in for the first one.

    What do you the idea?

I was at you're set in Newquay - Run To The Sun. It was totally awesome!

Though, there was a song that you played.... which was stunning, I've been looking for it since. Unless the amount I drank messed up what I heard ( more than likly ) I believe some of the lyrics were on about a war or something or other... ? Think I have part of the song on my phone but it's too distorted to tell what it is! :(

It was near the end of you're set, before Marco V came on, If you know what I'm on about I'd really appriciate an email to let me know!!

Can't wait for you're mix album!!

    Many Thanks,
