Wow Annie, you've got yourself quite a fanclub! It's true what they were saying though, the show is really accessible. You're good on day time too but a bit wasted playing that kind of music I reckon! Was at T in the Park this weekend - anyone else reckon it's a bit over rated? Really enjoyed Rob da bank's set in the slam tent though, one of the highlights! Roll on thursday.
Complain about this postIt's not just on that site, most people I've talked to love your show, Annie. You've even managed to convert a few of my rock/indie purist friends, something I've been trying to do for years!
The way you present your music is so warm and down to earth but still full of enthusiasm. It's almost like listening to one of your mates present a radio show and playing all your favourite tunes!
Then there's the cherry popper/non-stopper thing, which is pure genius. It makes people feel like they belong in a community. Keep up the good work!
Complain about this postAnnie,
They have totally hit the nail on the head...you are an awesome DJ and really can fill in any radio 1 slot they put you on....I always look forward to your show on a Thursday as I know no matter what kind of day I have had at work your energy, stories, and music will bring many smiles to my face. As for JK and Joel winning with MC Hammer "you can't touch this"--what is the world coming to?? I nearly fell off my sofa in shock!!
Your loyal San Francisco can't stopper
Complain about this postI agree Andy, but...what do you mean "it's ALMOST like listening to one of your mates present a radio show and playiing all your favourite tunes!"? ...Annie IS one of my/our mates!! We are all 1 big happy family!!
Roll on Thurday night...
ps. Annie - Any more news on your A-Z Mix CD? When is it coming out?
Complain about this postHi Annie,

Hi annie,
Complain about this postyeah its great to see a fellow dubliner on BBC Radio 1....which i aspire to do myself...
i listen to Radio 1 all the time from Dublin and i find you and the rest of the DJ's very addictive listening..
its Brillant , keep up the good work..
Hey Annie,
Don't be so surprised by the ever-growing fan base, you're doing a fantastic job. Just keep up the great work.
I'm not originally a dance afficianado but hearing the likes of Pharaoh Monch, Kanye West, Pharell Williams, J-Dilla & Sway intertwined with all the other selections makes it a must listen for me & many converts to you show every week.
I woke up @ 6am this morning with Annie Mac (on the radio) & now I'm lying in bed ready to go to sleep with Annie Mac (still on the radio). :)
Ain't I a lucky guy. :D
Complain about this postEver since I discovered the show I thought it was awesome.
I've been on the website before and gone to left some compliments but when I read them back I realised I was so profusely overflowing with emotion that I sounded like some kind of weird stalker.
Needless to say I love the show and I'm glad to see someone has summed it up so well...it's like having a good mate on the radio playing all your favourite records.
I'm just waiting for the podcasts of your show to come along so I can listen to it all day long!
Complain about this postHeheh, no need for thanks! I've loved the show for ages now, and I'm fairly certain it's all down to your style. It really does feel so welcoming and friendly. And of course it doesn't hurt that you've got genius ear for a good tune. My record collection would be a poorer place were it not for your show.
Good luck with the new programmes! I'm so chuffed that Radio 1 have recognised you. I'll definitely be listening.
